Are you interested in finding out about returning to education as a mature student?
91Ö±²¥ offers a wide range of degrees with a foundation year for mature students who don't have the standard university entry qualifications. So why not come along to our Mature Student Taster Event and find out more about what studying as a mature student with us might be like?
Join us on Tuesday 3rd June 2025, 10am to 1:30pm.
Event programme:
9:30-10: arrival, registration, refreshments
10-10:15: welcome presentation
10:15 - 10:35: fees, funding and finance
10:35- 10:50: support for mature students and how to apply for a course
10:50 - 11: mature student stories
11:00- 11:15 - break
11:15 - 11:30 - maths taster session/ice breaker
11:30 - 12:30 - subject taster sessions. You will have the opportunity to choose from one of 3 sessions linked to our foundation years in Arts & Humanities, Social Sciences or Science & Health. Details of these sessions will be published closer to the event date.
12:30- 1:15pm - free buffet lunch
1:15pm - optional campus tour
This event programme is provisional and we may make small changes up to the event.
Staff and students from our Lifelong Learning team will be available throughout the event to answer any questions you have about studying with us.
Who is it for?
Anyone 21 or over, without standard university entry qualifications, who would like information on studying for a degree with a foundation year at the University of 91Ö±²¥.
