- Profile
-
I completed my PhD in the Urban Studies and Planning department at University of 91Ö±²¥ in 2023. My thesis was on the financialisation of English housing associations and the implications for social housing supply. Following this I worked as a Research Associate in the UK Collaborative Centre for Housing Evidence (CaCHE). And began my current role in 2025. Prior to academia I worked in social housing.
- Research interests
-
I am an interdisciplinary researcher with two interrelated strands to my research: housing and decarbonisation of the built environment. Topics of interest include quantifying and understanding housing need, the drivers of poor housing conditions and housing insecurity, the governance of social housing, and expediting the decarbonisation of building construction and maintenance. As an applied researcher I have a strong interest in methods, including the applications in the social sciences of quantitative methods, mixed methods, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS). As a former practitioner I also have an interest in conducting research which is engaged with policy and practice, and I have been part of several research evaluations and evidence reviews commissioned by government and third-sector bodies.
